Spot on has been a learning experience for me unlike anything else I have ever tried in my life. I have pretty much been my own boss since college, running a Swap meet booth on the weekends selling pool sticks and darts in San Diego while taking classes during the week. With the exception of teaching for 7 years when I left college, I have been able to make a lot of decisions that control where and how I go. Spot on is still different though. When my brother Matt and I took over Teamwork Athletic apparel from my parents, we made decisions together. And we had lots of other folks who chimed in as well. Spot On is more.... well... focused. Every decision is mine. Next month's flavor? Mine. How much Chocolate to produce? Mine. Marketing campaigns? Mine. Licences? Mine. The list is pretty crazy long, and there have definitely been lots of learnings (and they happen pretty much every day). I am really grateful to all of you who are providing constructive feedback to help me grow Spot On to be not only delicious but fun and easy to do business with. I will be the first to admit there is lots I don't know yet. But I am having fun learning, and I think the journey is the most important part anyway. Thanks for traveling along with me! Here's to eccentric chocolate!
